For those of us who spend time walking or running at Walt Disney World, the sight of a new bridge under construction is a welcome sight. This is a new bridge being built over what we think is called "The Electrical Water Pageant Canal." It's the canal located between the Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian Resort along Seven Seas Lagoon where the Electrical Water Pageant is stored during the day. The lack of a bridge here means that guests can walk up to the canal from either direction, but not cross. We understand that this will be a "swinging" bridge, meaning that it will move out of the way when boats need to access the canal. Once this is complete, guests should be able to walk all the way along Seven Seas Lagoon from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the Magic Kingdom if they choose. Photo by Donald Fink.
